Report: Browns To Release RB Montario Hardesty From IR With Injury Settlement

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports the Browns plan to release RB Montario Hardesty on Monday.

Hardesty was placed on the injured reserve close to a month ago after a horrendous preseason which included hamstring injuries, a dislocated thumb and a knee scope surgery.

The Browns are expected to to release Hardesty from  the injured reserve with an injury settlement. Hardesty should be close to being at 100 percent and might garner some interest from running back needy teams.

Hardesty has dealt with a number of injuries in his brief career in the NFL. While there are teams that are in need of help at running back, Hardesty’s durability has to be a major consideration for any team willing to sign him.

We’ll have more regarding this topic on Monday.
