Report: Browns “Truly Interested” In Trading Up For Oregon QB Marcus Mariota

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, citing multiple league sources, reports that the Browns are “truly interested” in using their two first-round picks in 2015 to trade up for Oregon QB Marcus Mariota.

However, Florio writes that even with the Browns’ two first-round selections, it could be difficult for them to move all the way up into the top five.

Florio mentions that the Redskins No. 5 overall pick could be the “hot spot” should Mariota drop past the Raiders at No. 4 overall.

There has been increasing speculation that a number of teams including the Bears, Chargers, and Eagles could considering moving up for Mariota.

Although, this will ultimately come down to the Titans and whether they want to use their No. 2 overall pick on the quarterback or auction it off for the best package of draft picks.

As for the Browns, they continue to be linked to quarterbacks, even after they used a first-round pick on Johnny Manziel last year and signed veteran QB Josh McCown to a three-year contract last month.

We have Mariota going to the Titans in our most recent 2015 NFL Mock Draft.
