Report: Bryan Stork Fails Physical For Redskins, Trade With Patriots Off

Chris Cooley of ESPN 980 is reporting that newly acquired C Bryan Stork failed his physical and his rights are now reverting back to the Patriots, which means the deal is off.

This situation continues to get stranger, as reports first surfaced that he was being waived by the Patriots. However, the Patriots wound up trading him to the Redskins.

Shortly after that, reports came out that Stork was considering retirement and may not report to the Redskins. Then, last night, Stork announced that he was going to join the team, but he apparently wasn’t able to pass a physical.

Stork, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Patriots back in 2014. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.697 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $600,00 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Stork appeared in eight games for the Patriots. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 21 center out of 39 qualifying players last year.
