Buccaneers Bring In QB Terrelle Pryor For Tryout

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers brought in former Raiders and Seahawks QB Terrelle Pryor for a tryout on Monday.

The Buccaneers are coming off of a disastrous loss to the Falcons in Week 3 in which they lost starting QB Josh McCown to a serious sprained thumb on his throwing hand. As of now, Mike Glennon will be the team’s starting quarterback for the foreseeable future, but it wouldn’t hurt to add another quarterback for the time being, even if they have no plans to keep him long-term.

There was some speculation that the Rams could have interest in Pryor after he was placed on waivers by Seattle as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players last month. However, nothing ever came of the idea and the Rams later claimed Case Keenum off of waivers from the Texans.

Pryor, 24, appeared in 11 games and completed 57.4 percent of his passes for 1,798 yards, seven touchdowns and 11 interceptions last year.

We’ll have more regarding the Buccaneers and Pryor as the news is available.
