Report: Buccaneers Could Get RB Doug Martin Back In Week 10

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that the Buccaneers are “optimistic” that RB Doug Martin will play again this season.

According to Rapoport, Martin could return for the team’s Week 10 match up against the Dolphins. However, should Martin suffer a setback to his injured shoulder, Tampa Bay would likely shut him down for the remainder of the season.

Martin is expected to spend the next 18 days strengthening his shoulder and intends to wear a harness once he’s ready to return to game-action.

This is obviously great news considering that many expected Martin to be out for the season. Mike James will be the team’s starting running back while Martin is recovering.
