Report: Cardinals LB Gabe Martin Suffers Ruptured Achilles

Mike Jurecki reports that Cardinals LB Gabe Martin suffered a ruptured Achilles during offseason workouts.

Martin, 25, wound up signing on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Bowling Green back in May of 2015. He was waived at the start of the season and was later signed to their practice squad.

The Cardinals re-signed Martin to a one-year contract, but waived him with an injury designation and later reverted to injured reserve. However, the team decided to release him with an injury settlement.

The Saints signed him to a contract before cutting him loose and signing him to their practice squad. Arizona signed him off New Orleans’ practice squad a month later.

In 2017, Martin appeared in three games and recorded two total tackles and no sacks.
