Cardinals QB Drew Stanton Cleared To Play, Will Start Unless Carson Palmer Can Play

Mike Jurecki of Fox Sports 910 reports that Cardinals QB Drew Stanton has passed all the required exams for a player in the concussion protocol and is now cleared to play against the Redskins.

Cardinals HC Bruce Arians told reporters on Friday that they will make a game-time decision regarding who will be their starting quarterback on Sunday.

According to Arians, all three quarterbacks could be active this weekend

It appeared as though Arizona was going to be forced to start rookie QB Logan Thomas against Washington, but even veteran QB Carson Palmer has made progress in recent days. Palmer was reportedly throwing “at about 80 percent” and “had some decent velocity” on his throws.

Stanton, 30, has appeared in three games this season and has completed 48.9 percent of his passes for 529 yards and two touchdowns.
