Kent Somers reports that the Arizona Cardinals have re-signed OLB Matt Shaughnessy to a two-year deal.
Recent reports mentioned that Shaughnessy was visiting with the Patriots on Wednesday, but the Cardinals were still interested in retaining him.
Shaughnessy, 27, appeared in all 16 games for the Cardinals last year and totaled 36 tackles, three sacks, a forced fumble and three recoveries. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 34 outside linebacker in a 3-4 system last year.
