Report: Cardinals Sign WR Tyler Speer

Howard Balzer of The Sports Xchange reports that the Arizona Cardinals have signed WR Tyler Speer.

Balzer adds that Speer last played in 2012 for Winona State where he caught 52 receptions for 806 yards and seven touchdowns.

Speer, 25, offers good size for the position at 6-foot-3, but he’ll obviously need to make a pretty good impression on the team’s coaching staff during training camp to have any shot at cracking their final 53-man roster next season.

As of now, the Cardinals have: Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd, Andre Roberts, Jaron Brown and Brittan Golden as their top-five receivers. Although Roberts will be an unrestricted free agent this March.
