Report: CB Aaron Berry Had Tryout With The Browns

Howard Balzer reports that the Cleveland Browns held a tryout for veteran CB Aaron Berry.

Berry, 25, visited with the Browns back in March as well, so he has been on their radar.  He was unfortunately placed on season-ending injured reserve after he suffered a torn ACL back in July of last year.

Before that, he spent his first two years in the league with the Lions.  He appeared in 11 games for Detroit in 2012 and posted 31 tackles and a 11 pass defenses.

Cleveland does have a good deal of talent at the cornerback position, boasting Joe Haden, Justin Gilbert, Buster Skrine and recent draft pick Pierre Desir.  Berry would thus presumably fit as a special teams contributor.

He could be a good value addition for some team, depending on his knee holds up next year.
