Adam Schefter is reporting that the Chargers have re-signed Defensive Coordinator John Pagano, whose contract expired at the end of the season.
The move comes one day after the Tennessee Titans announced the hiring of former Chargers Offensive Coordinator Ken Whisenhunt as Head Coach. Â Tennessee expressed interest in Pagano as well, but the Chargers moved quickly to lock up their defensive leader.
John, the younger brother of Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano, has been with the Chargers for twelve seasons, two as Defensive Coordinator.  The Chargers defense allowed  21.8 points per game this season, good enough for eleventh best in the NFL.
