Report: Chargers Showing Interest In Former Broncos DL Kevin Vickerson

Michael Gehlken of the Union-Tribune San Diego reports that the Chargers are showing some interest in former Broncos DL Kevin Vickerson.

As of now, San Diego has six defensive linemen on their roster, which includes two rookies, so adding Vickerson would give them some proven depth upfront.

Vickerson, 31, was one of the more notable cuts from the Broncos as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players on Saturday.

He was entering the final year of his two-year, $5 million contract that included a $1 million signing bonus and was set to make $1.25 million for the upcoming season.

We’ll have more regarding the Chargers possibly signing Vickerson as the news is available.

  1. I love that we have 9 on the practice squad and that we are pursuing this guy. He might want to play against Denver as incentive and he is connected to Mike McCoy. Would love to have him, and he knows Manning a little bit as well
