Dom Cosentino of NJ.com reports that Charley Casserly, whom the Jets have hired as a consultant to help with their coaching search, has already begun the process of contacting prospective replacements for head coach Rex Ryan and general manager John Idzik.
According to Cosentino, the Jets have yet to inform Ryan that he’ll be fired, but that hasn’t stopped him from already cleaning out his office.
Both Ryan and Idzik are widely expected to be replaced in the coming days.
Previous reports have mentioned that Casserly has reached out to former Packers GM Ron Wolf to assist in the process of finding a new Jets head coach.
No potential candidates were mentioned in the report, but it will be interesting to see who they contact about their soon-to-be vacancies.
