Report: Chiefs Close To Hiring Doug Pederson As Offensive Coordinator

Jeff McLane confirms that it “looks like” Doug Pederson will be the next offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Alex Marvez of Fox Sports tweets that he’s “hearing” that Doug Pederson is in Kansas City right now finalizing a deal that would make him the next offensive coordinator of the Chiefs.

Pederson was with Andy Reid in Philadelphia as his quarterbacks coach for the last two seasons. Some thought that Brad Childress could end as Reid’s offensive coordinator, but he’s reportedly being considered as an assistant of sorts.

We’ll have more on this topic as the news becomes available.
