Report: Colts Reach An Agreement With OT Gosder Cherilus

Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network reports that the Colts have reached an agreement in principle with former Lions OT Gosder Cherilus.

Cherilus is expected to receive a five-year deal.

Cherilus is actually coming off of a solid season for the Lions, but wound up undergoing an operation on his knee, so there is at least some concerns.

The Colts had to find help at offensive tackle and this is probably a decent move on their part. They could still use some additional help at guard, so we’ll see if they plan to address that in free agency or target a player in the draft.

We have him listed as the No. 31 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
