Report: Colts Sign RB Dion Lewis

The Indianapolis Colts have signed RB Dion Lewis, per a league source, says Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports.

Lewis was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles back in 2011.  He was traded to the Browns in 2013, but released before the beginning of this season.

While Lewis has not been particularly productive, this signing is interesting, as the Colts are clearly still trying to address their struggling running game.  The trade for RB Trent Richardson has not paid immediate dividends, and the Colts are scrambling to build a rushing attack to complement QB Andrew Luck.

Lewish has rushed for 171 yards on 36 carries in his career.
