Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that the Dallas Cowboys are expected to sign former Jaguars G Uche Nwaneri.

Nwaneri has spent his entire career with the Jaguars since being drafted in the fifth round out of Purdue in 2007.  He started 92 games over the past seven seasons, but was released back in March, creating $3.7 million in cap savings.

Nwaneri joins a rapidly improving Dallas offensive line.  Recent draft picks C Travis Frederick and OL Zack Martin will likely occupy two of the three interior line positions, with Nwaneri set to battle G Ronald Leary and G Mackenzy Bernadeau for the other.

Pro Football Focus rated Nwaneri No. 34 out of 81 eligible guards during the 2013 season.
