Mike Garafolo reports that QB Curtis Painter will re-sign with the Giants once the 2014 league year is underway.
Painter, 28, was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the sixth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He appeared in three games for the Giants last season, completing eight passes for 57 yards and two interceptions.
He will likely have to compete for the backup job with Ryan Nassib in 2014.
