Report: Darrelle Revis Not Happy With HC Greg Schiano’s Rules

Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports that sources have informed him that Buccaneers CB Darrelle Revis is “not happy” HC Greg Schiano’s strict rules and the lack of man coverage they’re running.

Revis apparently prefers Rex Ryan’s lax approach to team rules, which isn’t exactly the first time a player has mentioned that Schiano’s rules are an issue.

This comes just days after rumors began circulating that QB Josh Freeman was open to a trade, to which he’s since refuted. Tampa Bay appears to be a team on the brink of disarray. Another poor outing from Freeman would only lead to more speculation that the Bucs may turn to third-round pick Mike Glennon.

Revis, 28, signed a six-year contract worth $96 million, but the deal includes no guarantees beyond $13 million base salaries and annual $1.5 million roster bonuses. Tampa Bay also parted with 2013 first-rounder and a conditional 2014 third-round pick, so they’re clearly invested in him being a big part of their team moving forward.
