Report: Daryn Colledge, Samson Satele & Steve Vallos Trying Out For The Dolphins Monday

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins will bring in free agent centers Steve Vallos and Samson Satele for tryouts on Monday.

This news comes just a few days after Jason Cole of the National Football Post reported that free agent G Daryn Colledge will visit with the Dolphins at some point in the near future.

The Dolphins lost Pro Bowl C Mike Pouncey for “at least” three months after he suffered a hip injury close to a week ago, so it makes plenty of sense for them gauge the available options ahead of training camp.

Colledge, 32, started for the Cardinals last year and appeared in all 16 games and graded out as the No. 39 guard in the league last year, according to Pro Football Focus. He did show some promise as a pass-blocker though.

Satele, 29, hasn’t found any reported interest since the Colts cut him loose several months ago. However, he happens to be the one player will actual NFL experience at center, which should obviously help his chances of winning the job.

Pro Football Focus had Satele rated as the No. 31 center in the league last season, which is due to his struggles as a run-blocker.

Vallos, 30, was active for 15 games of the Broncos 16 games last season, but was limited to playing a total of nine snaps.

We have Colledge rated as the No. 44 player player in our Best Available Free Agents list.
