Report: Denver Broncos Expected To Sign S Michael Huff

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that free agent FS Michael Huff is expected to sign with the Denver Broncos after trying out for the team on Tuesday.

  • Wilson adds that safeties John Boyett and Tyler Sash also worked out for the Broncos.

Huff, 30, was waived by the Baltimore Ravens on Oct. 3o after failing to meet expectations with the team. He signed a three-year contract worth $6 million, which also included a $1.5 million signing bonus , but contributed just four tackles before being benched.  Huff was quickly demoted to special teams duties after he allowed three touchdown passes in Week 1.

With Rahim Moore likely done for the year, the addition of Huff brings much needed depth to a depleted Broncos secondary that will likely start Mike Adams in the coming weeks. Huff and David Bruton figure to battle for playing time as well.
