Report: Dez Bryant Will Try To Play In Week 15

Cowboys HC Jason Garrett mentioned that WR Dez Bryant will be given “every chance to play” in Week 15.

“If that is wait til Saturday (to catch passes), then we will wait til Saturday,” said Garrett, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “If it’s wait til Sunday, it’s wait til Sunday. We will give him every chance to do it.

Ed Werder of ESPN Dallas reports that a source has informed him that WR Dez Bryant will attempt to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend despite having torn ligaments in his finger.

Bryant met with a hand specialist on Wednesday for a second opinion, but he intends to delay surgery to repair his injured finger and play. The Cowboys are expected to put a protective wrap of some sort over his finger, so it will be interesting to see just how effective he is in this game.

There’s no question that Bryant’s combination of size and speed create some obvious mismatches and the Steelers secondary is really banged up, so there’s still a chance that he and the rest of the team’s receivers could be in for a big day.
