Dolphins Sign DT Randy Starks To A Two-Year Deal

Update:

Mike Garafolo reports that the Dolphins have signed veteran DT Randy Starks to a two-year contract worth $12 million.

  • Ian Rapoport reported earlier in the day that Starks was finalizing a deal to stay with the Miami Dolphins.

Last year, the Dolphins used their franchise tag on Starks and never managed to work out a long-term extension. With Paul Soliai signing with the Falcons, the Dolphins had to do something to keep their defensive line intact.

Starks, 30, should also do quite well in the coming weeks. He’s coming off of a solid season in which he totaled 49 tackles, four sacks and a forced fumble this season and was rated as the No. 7 defensive tackle in the league, according to Pro Football Focus.

We have him listed as the No. 10 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
