Omar Kelly of the Sun-Sentinel, citing multiple sources, reports that the Dolphins are finalizing a multi-year extension for center Mike Pouncey.

According to Kelly, the terms of the contract are not available at this time. However, Kelly mentions that the contract is believed to be in the neighborhood of the $40 million contract his brother, Maurkice Pouncey, signed with the Steelers last year.

Pouncey, 25, is scheduled to make a base salary of $7.438 million for the 2015 season after the Dolphins picked up his fifth-year option last April.

In 2014, Pouncey appeared in 12 games for the Dolphins. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing a total of 1127 snaps and rates him as the No. 6 center in the league out of 41 qualifying players.

We’ll have more as the news is available.
