Report: Dolphins Hosting WR Michael Crabtree On Wednesday

Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports reports that the Dolphins are hosting free agent WR Michael Crabtree for a visit on Wednesday.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported on Tuesday that veteran receivers like Crabtree, Hakeem Nicks, Reggie Wayne, and Wes Welker currently had little or no interest on the open market thus far.

However, it appears as though things could be changing for Crabtree.

John Keim of ESPN previously reported that the Redskins had expressed interest in re-signing Crabtree whileDianna Marie Russini added that a return to the 49ers could still be an option.

The Dolphins recently traded Mike Wallace to the Vikings and previously released WR Brandon Gibson, who has since caught on with the Patriots.

Even though Miami swung a deal with the Saints for Kenny Stills, they could probably use another receiver.

Earlier in the day, we posted a poll regarding which team was the best fit for Crabtree and the Dolphins came are in 4th place with nine percent of the total votes.

Crabtree, 27, appeared in all 16 games and caught 68 passes for 698 yards receiving and four touchdowns last year. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 95 receiver out of 110 qualifying players.

We have Crabtree listed as the No. 34 player in our Top 1oo Free Agents list.
