Report: Jets Have “Serious” Interest In WR Brandon Gibson

Brian Costello reports that a source had informed the New York Post that the Jets have interest in free agent WR Brandon Gibson.

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that the Jets interest in Gibson is “serious.”

Former Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum mentioned that he believes the Jets will sign Gibson as well.

We have Gibson listed as the No. 63 best available player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.

Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins have been in contact with the reps for free agent WR Brandon Gibson this weekend.

Beasley mentions that the talks are “said to be serious” between the two sides and adds that Gibson could be targeting a similar deal to that of WR Brian Hartline who just signed a five year, $31 million contract a few days ago.

Miami’s interest in Mike Wallace has been well documented, so it’s pretty clear that their top priority as of now is to upgrade the receiver position.
