Report: Dolphins Sign S Louis Delmas To A One-Year Deal

Pro Football Talk reports that the Dolphins have signed free agent S Louis Delmas to a one year contract worth a maximum of $3.5 million.

Delmas, 26, was in the final year of his two-year, $7.715 million contract he signed with the just last year before the Lions elected to part ways and take the cap relief. He totaled 64 tackles, two sacks, and three interceptions over the course of nine games with the Lions in 2013.

Drew Rosenhaus, the agent for free agent S Louis Delmas, mentioned Sunday night during an interview with WSVN-Fox that he has begun contract negotiations with the Dolphins, via the Miami Herald.

  • Rosenhaus added that he believes they should have resolution in a couple of days, even if he ends up not signing with them.

Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald recently reported that the Dolphins remain “very interested” in Delmas.

Delmas previously met with the Dolphins a few weeks ago and already met visited with the FalconsSaints and Steelers. Delmas was believed to have interest from the Broncos.
