Report: Dolphins Re-Sign QB Matt Moore

Jeff Darlington reports that the Miami Dolphins have reached an agreement with QB Matt Moore to return as their backup quarterback next.

Darlington adds that Moore receives a two-year deal worth $8 million.

This is a little surprising given that Moore was likely to have a decent market and could have signed on with a team that would have allowed him to compete for the starting quarterback job.

Miami has Ryan Tannehill firmly installed as their starter, so I’m sure they’re paying Moore a decent amount of money to convince him to stay.

We have Moore listed as the No. 37 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
