Report: Dolphins Reach Agreement With G Shelley Smith

Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that the Dolphins have reached an agreement with G Shelley Smith on a two-year contract.

Smith, 26, was taken in the sixth-round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans. He later joined the Rams and has appeared in 24 games.

Last year, he played 371 offensive snaps and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 23 guard in the league. Smith was rated as a very good run-blocking guard for the Rams, which could explain the level of interest in him right now.
