Report: Dolphins Sign S Reshad Jones

Pro Football Talk reports that the Miami Dolphins have signed S Reshad Jones to four-year extension.

  • Adam Schefter reports that Jones receives $30 million over four years.
  • Ian Rapoport reports that Jones gets a $5 million signing bonus.

Reports from back in June suggested that the two sides had begun contract talks.

Jones, 25, was reportedly willing hold out of OTAs, but that didn’t last long after the team agreed to discuss an extension.

Last year, Pro Football Focus rated Jones as the No. 3 safety in the league and was equally effective in pass and run-defense. He was set to make $1.323 million for the 2013 season.
