Report: Eagles Sign CB Nolan Carroll

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Eagles have reached agreement with former Dolphins CB Nolan Carroll.

  • Mike Garafolo reports that Carroll receives a two-year deal worth $5.2 million and includes more in incentives.

The Bills  Vikings49ers and Steelers had all been linked to Carroll before he decided to join the Eagles. He had a much better market than I would have assumed.

Philadelphia needed some depth at cornerback, so we’ll have to see how he does next year.

Carroll, 27, was taken in the fifth-round by the Dolphins back in 2010. He appeared in all 16 games for Miami and totaled 47 tackles, two sacks and three interceptions.

Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 58 cornerback in the league last season, but below average in terms of coverage ability.
