Report: Falcons Sign WR Eric Weems To A Two-Year Deal

Vaughn McClure of ESPN reports that the Falcons and WR Eric Weems have agreed to a two-year contract.

Weems, 29, was set to be an unrestricted free agent in the coming days, but it appears as though the Falcons wanted to maintain some depth at receiver and keep a solid special teams player in the process.

A few years ago, Weems departed Atlanta and signed a three-year contract worth $4.24 million with the Bears. However, Chicago released him before the start of the 2014 season.

The Falcons brought him back and he went on to appear in all 16 games, catching 10 passes for 102 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
