Report: Former Dolphins & Browns TE Jordan Cameron Retiring From NFL

Ryan Bartow of 247Sports.com is reporting that former Dolphins and Browns TE Jordan Cameron is retiring from the NFL.

Cameron, unfortunately, has a very serious history of concussions, and his 2016 season ended with him being placed on injured reserve after he sustained a fourth concussion in as many seasons.

Cameron, 28, is originally a fourth-round pick by the Browns in the 2011 NFL Draft. He played out the final year of a two-year, $15 million contract that contained $12.5 million guaranteed and is currently an unrestricted free agent.

In 2016, Cameron appeared in three games and recorded eight receptions for 60 yards receiving and one touchdown.

For his career, Cameron caught 173 passes for 2,046 yards receiving and 14 touchdowns over the course of six seasons with the Browns and Dolphins. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2013.
