Report: Former Packers TE Colt Lyerla Arrested For Suspicion Of DUI

Molly Harbarger of OregonLive.com reports that former Packers TE Colt Lyerla was arrested in Washington County at 2 a.m. Saturday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Sgt. Vance Stimler mentioned that an arrest report is not yet available regarding this situation.

However, Lylera is still suspected of being high on either illegal drugs or prescription medications at the time he was pulled over. Lyerla has a court date scheduled on Sept. 17.

The Packers took a chance on him after he went undrafted back in May. Lyerla unfortunately suffered a knee injury and was placed on injured reserve. Green Bay released him with an injury settlement a few weeks.

This new arrest could prevent him from getting another opportunity in the NFL.
