Report: Seahawks Sign Veteran CB Terrell Thomas

Update:

ESPN’s Adam Caplan is now reporting that the Seahawks have agreed to terms with veteran CB Terrell Thomas.

  • Caplan adds that Thomas receives a one-year contract.

This could prove to be a decent signing by Seattle is Thomas is able to show that he is healthy and ready to contribute.

Thomas, 29, was once a very promising player in the league, but he has unfortunately suffered three ACL tears over the course of his career.

He missed all of 2011 and 2012 due to ACL tears, but he managed to return last year and play in all 16 games for the Giants. Thomas finished the season with 67 tackles, a sack, an interception and a forced fumble.

We had him listed as the No. 9 player in our Best Available Free Agents list.

ESPN’s Adam Caplan is reporting that free agent CB Terrell Thomas has drawn interest from the Seahawks and could be united with HC Pete Carroll.

Thomas mentioned a few months ago that NFL teams are still concerned about his surgically repaired knee.

Teams like the PatriotsPanthers and Raiders have all brought Thomas in for workouts this offseason, but there hasn’t been a lot of buzz in recent weeks, which fits with the idea that these teams could be reluctant to sign a player who has had three ACL surgeries.
