Report: Free Agent TE Matthew Mulligan Visits Bears Monday

Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that the Bears brought in free agent TE Matthew Mulligan for a visit on Monday.

Mulligan, 29, signed with the Packers last year, but wasn’t able to crack their 53-man roster and was released before the start of the season. He would later sign on with the Patriots and appear in 15 games totaling two receptions for 16 yards and a touchdown.

Mulligan is really more of blocking tight end than a receiving threat, but he could be worth a flyer at this point in the offseason.
