Jeff Dickerson of ESPN Chicago reported earlier in the day that free agent CB Zackary Bowman is closing in on a one-year contract with the Giants.
- Dickerson adds that the Bears are believed to have expressed interest in re-signing Bowman as well.
Bowman, 29, appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and totaled 48 tackles and three interceptions last year. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 74 cornerback in league last year.
