Giants Officially Sign RB Shane Vereen

The Giants officially announced the signing of RB Shane Vereen on Thursday.

  • Ralph Vacciano reports that Vereen’s contract will likely end up being a three-year deal worth close to $12 million and includes guarantees of around $5 million.

“(I made this) decision with my family,” Vereen said. “At the end of the day, I wanted to make a decision that was right for us, right for them, and this is a great organization. I was fortunate enough to play in New England with another great organization. This is not a step down; if anything, it is a step up. I am looking forward to the opportunity, and I am enjoying being in New York.

Ian Rapoport reports that the Giants are expected to sign RB Shane Vereen.

  • Ralph Vacciano recently reported that the Giants are “very serious” about trying to sign Vereen.
