Report: Giants Lock Up OT Will Beatty To A Five-Year Deal

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that sources have informed him that the New York Giants have reached an agreement free agent OT Will Beatty.

  • Schefter adds that Beatty receives a five-year deal worth $38.75 million.
  • Jenny Vrentas mentions that Beatty will receive $19 million guarantees.
  • Adam Caplan tweets that Beatty receives a $12.5 million signing bonus.

Beatty, 27, was clearly one of the Giants’ top priorities this offseason, as losing him would have created a serious need at left tackle. In terms of guaranteed money, this deal will place him in the Top 10 for offensive tackles.

I’m sure guys like Sebastian VollmerBranden Albert, Andre Smith, Jermon Bushrod and Jake Long are all glad to hear that there’s one less offensive tackle set to hit the open market.

We had Beatty listed as the No. 12 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
