- ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the New York Giants and free-agent LB Jon Beason are involved in “heated discussions.“
- Kimberly Jones reported that the two sides are “close” to agreement, but nothing final yet.
- Jones adds that the Giants are the “favorites” to sign Beason.
Beason, 28, came over from Carolina after a mid-season trade sent him to New York for an undisclosed 2014 late-round pick. He finished the season with 104 tackles and an interception.
