ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Giants have restructured G Chris Snee‘s contract on Monday.
- Schefter adds that Snee’s base salary has been reduced from $7.2 million to $1.1 million
- Snee’s new contract includes $1 million in incentives, which means he could make a maximum of $2.1 million.
Snee, 32, was entering the final year of his six-year, $41.25 million contract and hap a cap figure of $11.3 million, so he is an obviously candidate to restructure his contract.
Releasing him would have freed up $6.8 million in cap space, according to OverTheCap.com.
