Snyder was one of the more notable players released by the 49ers this past weekend as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players.
The Giants will be without free agent acquisition Geoff Schwartz for a portion of the season, so it would make a good deal of sense to bring some depth in the event they lose another lineman to an injury.
Snyder, 32, appeared in all 16 games for San Francisco, so it’s interesting to see them part ways with an interior offensive lineman.
According to Pro Football Focus, Snyder played 345 snaps last season, but was rated as the No. 40 guard out of 81 qualifying players.
