Report: Iowa TE C.J. Fiedorowicz Visiting With Buccaneers Monday & Jets Later In The Week

According to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, Iowa TE C.J. Fiedorowicz is visiting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday and is set to meet with the New York Jets later this week.

  • Wilson adds that Fiedorowicz has held a previous private workout with the Buccaneers already.

Fiedorowicz stands 6-feet 5-inches and posted a 40-yard dash time of 4.75 during the combine. He also won the Most Outstanding Receiver award at the Senior Bowl.

At Iowa, Fiedorowicz was limited to contributing mainly as a blocker, but he feels as though he’s capable of being an effective receiver at the next level.

I can show teams I’m a blocker, but I can also stretch the field,” Fiedorowicz said. “I can take the top off the defense and be a dual-threat tight end. The NFL has a lot of tight ends who can only block or only be a receiver, but I was able to do both at Iowa.

Currently, Fiedorowicz is largely projected to be a mid-round pick, but the increased value of tight ends could help him come off the board sooner than some might expect.

The Buccaneers and Jets are both in need of help at tight end, so it makes plenty of sense for them to get their work in ahead of the draft.
