This is interesting news given that the Bears elected to move on from Idonije last year and is starting to get up there in age.
Idonije, 33, signed with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Manitoba back in 2003. He spent nine seasons with the Bears before signing a one-year contract with the Lions in 2013.
Last year, Idonije was limited to playing just 347 snaps and appearing in 15 games. He season ended after he suffered a neck injury and was placed on injured reserve.
He totaled 11 tackles and a half sack for the Lions last year.
