Mike Mularkey Out As Jaguars Head Coach?

Jason La Canfora reports that the Jaguars are “very likely” part ways with HC Mike Mularkey at some point this week.

La Canfora also suggests that 49ers OC Greg Roman would most likely be brought in as the team’s next head coach.

Jay Glazer reports that the Jacksonville Jaguars are negotiating a contract with Falcons’ executive Dave Caldwell to be their next general manager.

  • Yahoo’s Mike Silver tweeted that this could be coming in the near future, but couldn’t confirm the report.
  • ESPN’s Adam Schefter adds that the two sides have agreed to terms on contract.
  • Albert Breer of the NFL Network adds that 49ers OC Greg Roman could replace Mike Mularkey as head coach.

Caldwell met with the Jets for a second interview, but ultimately decided to focus on the Jaguars job. Mularkey’s future with the Jaguars remains uncertain, but it’s worth noting that they spent time together in Atlanta, so there’s at least some connection there.
