Report: Jaguars Release WR Laurent Robinson

Ryan O’Halloran reports that the Jacksonville Jaguars have released WR Laurent Robinson.

O’Halloran adds that Robinson did pass his physical, but will not receive an injury settlement.

Adam Caplan reports that Robinson was due a $2 million roster bonus this Saturday, which most likely factored into the team’s decision as well.

Robinson, 27, just signed a five-year contract worth $32.5 million with the Jaguars last season. Unfortunately, he dealt with a number of concussions that forced the team to put him on season-ending injured reserve in his first year with the team. The concussions have left his career in some doubt, so we’ll have to see if he’s even willing to return before knowing what kind of interest he could find.
