Report: Jared Cook Requests Trade Out Of Tennessee

Titans head coach Mike Munchak mentioned that he “can’t see a situation” where they would trade Jared Cook, per Jim Wyatt.

Munchak added that Cook is “big part” of their offense.

Cook has since denied that he requested a trade of Tennessee, so it’s very unlikely that he will be playing for another team in 2012.

Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean reports that TE Jared Cook has requested a trade out of Tennessee.

Cook is currently playing out the final year of his rookie contract. He seemed to be in line for a breakout season, but his 2012 performance has been limited to say the least.

There could be some interest in him, but it’s hard to imagine that the Titans would be willing to trade their tight end halfway through the season. Cook seems likely to sign elsewhere during the offseason and could be a great value on the open the market, assuming that his second-half production is relatively close to what we’ve seen so far.
