Report: Jets Ready To “Make A Serious Run” At Manning

Bob Glauber of Newsday reports that two people “familiar with the situation” informed him that the New York Jets will “make a serious run” at signing Peyton Manning.

Glauber also mentions that New York is “intrigued” by the idea of getting Reggie Wayne to go with Manning but the team’s front office remains divided on the issue.

Last night, the New York Post  reported that the Jets”are definitely interested” interested in Manning which further backs the idea.

The question left to be answered is; Does Peyton Manning want to play for the Jets? Jason La Canfora has previously reported that Manning has no interest in playing for the Jets which could have something to do with the fact that his brother plays on the other New York team or it could just be that he prefers other options.

Manning isn’t expected to come to a quick decision so this could play out for longer than many would have expected.
