Report: Jets Showing A “High Level Of Interest” In Syracuse QB Ryan Nassib

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that a source with knowledge of the situation has informed him that the Jets have a “high level of interest” in Syracuse QB Ryan Nassib.

Florio adds that the Jets reportedly have had interest in Nassib for months now, which goes back to when Mike Tannenbaum was the team’s general manager.

Nassib already has drawn interest from the Bills, Browns and Jaguars, so he’s clearly one of the more intriguing quarterback options in this year’s draft class.

Many expect Nassib to be a second-round selection, but there’s always a chance he could come off the board towards the latter portion of the first-round. New York currently hold the No. 39 overall pick, which is just ahead of the Bills and Cleveland spent their second-round pick on Josh Gordon during last year’s supplemental draft, so there’s at least a chance he could fall to them in round two.

We actually have the Jets taking Nassib in the second-round of 2013 NFL Mock draft.
