Report: Jets Sign CB Ras-I Dowling To Their Practice Squad

Brian Costello of the New York Post reports that the Jets have signed former Patriots CB Ras-I Dowling to their practice squad.

The Jets reportedly also brought in some other cornerbacks including Curtis Marsh, Marvin Ross and Alonzo Tweedy on Tuesday.

Dowling, 25, was the No. 33 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. he played a total of eight games for the Patriots in two season before he was released a few months ago.

He’s dealt with a number of injuries during his short career including hip injury that ended his rookie season and a torn thigh muscle last year.

The Dowling signing could be an indication that the Jets do not expect to have rookie Dee Milliner available this weekend as he has dealt with a hamstring injury in recent weeks.
